Los Feliz Mid-Century Home

This mid-century home in Los Feliz uses two of ARTO's handcrafted dimensional concrete tiles, both in Early Gray. In the bathroom, Compass 6x6 tile covers the walls around a deep white tub and rain shower. Each tile carries a starburst of crisp ridges, and together they form a field of stars that catches the light from a large window framed by a geometric brass grille and potted cactus. Brass fixtures sit directly on the tile. In the living room, Compton 6x6 tile climbs the full height of the fireplace and wraps the base below a terrazzo hearth, its folded diamond pattern adding depth around a black firebox. The pale, soft tone of the concrete keeps both rooms light, while the relief brings shadow and movement to every wall.
