The Story
At Caltech in Pasadena, ARTO's 12x12 Monrovia ceramic tile in Ash paves the entry courtyard and covered walkways of a campus building, with matching stair tread pieces carrying the same finish up each step. The large square format and narrow grout lines give the plaza a calm, orderly rhythm that suits the building's sculpted concrete arches. On a campus walkway that sees steady foot traffic every day, the ceramic surface makes a practical, long-lasting choice.
